Promoting Evidence-Based Practices in Children's Mental Health

Darcy Gruttadaro, Director, NAMI National's Child & Adolescent Action Center provided an overview of the projects NAMI is working on in regards to evidence-based practices in children's mental health.

She also shared NAMI National's newly published family guide, Choosing the Right Treatment: What Families Need to Know About Evidence-Based Practices, with attendants. NAMI is working on fact sheets to accompany the family guide and to help NAMI leaders advocate for the broader dissemination of evidence-based practices. If you would like to receive regular updates on this project as well as other child and adolescent mental health resources please contact Dana Crudo, Program Coordinator, at danac@nami.org.

NAMI National's fact sheet on Spending Money in All the Right Places: Outcomes Measurements is also a valuable resource to combine with the family guide.
