NAMI Antelope Valley (NAMI-AV) is the Antelope Valley affiliate of the national and state-level NAMI organizations, serving the northern Los Angeles County area. Family and friends of individuals living with mental illness are welcome to attend NAMI-AV meetings to learn about dealing with and supporting those living with mentally illness and issues that concern them.

The NAMI Antelope Valley office is located at:

44905 10th Street West
Lancaster, CA 93534

NAMI-AV normally has three meetings each month.  Meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month deal primarily with caring and sharing with and for each other.  A general meeting, at which we invite speakers and provide education via viewing of DVDs and holding discussions, takes place on the 3rd Monday each month.  All meetings are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  We have speakers when available.  All meetings are free of charge.

The meetings are held in Lancaster at:

Desert Vineyard
1011 East Avenue I
Lancaster, CA 93535

This is on the northeast corner of Avenue I and Challenger Way (10th Street East).  There are two large buildings on the property.  The meetings take place in the building closest to Avenue I in the "Surf Shak" room.  Enter the building through the double doors on the south side (the side nearest Ave. I).  For more detailed directions, please click here.

A library of reading material, videotapes and DVDs is available to members upon request.

NAMI-AV also sponsors a series of free classes, described later on this page.
