NAMI Chelan Douglas is a group of volunteers, committed to providing free and low cost support and education for people with mental illness, as well as their families and friends in Chelan and Douglas Counties of Washington State.  We advocate for quality care, and fight for the rights and interests of anyone with mental illness, particularly for those who cannot speak for themselves.

NAMI CD SUPPORT MEETINGS:,

 

· Open to all, 5-6:30pm, 1st Monday of the month at Recovery Innovations, 701 Miller Street, Wenatchee.

 

· Open to all, 7-9pm 3rd Tuesday of the month at RiverWest Assisted Living, 900 N. Western Ave., Wenatchee, (the building in the back). Most meetings feature a speaker on a mental health topic from 7-7:30pm. On February 21st Brett McDonald will be speaking about mental health and eating disorders.

Awards to Local Law Enforcement Officers

On Tuesday May 15th at 12 noon The Chelan Douglas Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Planning Committee invites law enforcement professionals and the community to join us in recognizing exemplary work of CIT graduates during the year 2011 during the annual CIT awards luncheon at the Confluence Technology Center.   The public is invited to attend the luncheon and awards ceremony. tickets are $15 each. Advance payment is required no later than May 1st 2012

This documentary explores the under-representation of women in influential positions by the media.
