Accountable Care Organizations

The Affordable Care Act establishes Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) as a new type of provider within the Medicare program.  The goals of Accountable Care Organizations are to provide a more integrated and patient-centric model of evidence-based and coordinated care, particularly for people living with multiple conditions. 
 
On June 6, 2011, NAMI submitted comments on the proposed rules released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
