Vanessa Fernandes–Randall

Vanessa Fernandes Randall, SHRM-CP, is a member of the NAMI Board of Directors and has been a Board member since 2018, serving in different capacities. Since 2019 Vanessa also serves on the DEI Advisory Board for The University of Texas at Dallas.

Vanessa has worked with NAMI Central Texas and NAMI North Texas since 2012 to champion breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and create a world where resources are available to all who need them – regardless of age, orientation, origin and ability. She believes in helping NAMI build resources for leaders in the field and a stronger coalition of experts and advocates to help NAMI continue leading the conversation on mental health. Healing our communities and finding solutions to our nation’s mental health epidemic will require amplifying the message of you are not alone, it’s okay to not be okay.  She is committed to supporting NAMI’s efforts through advocacy, execution of the strategic plan and partnerships so that national teams and NAMI affiliates can focus on helping our communities heal and thrive.

Vanessa is the Chief Operating Officer of Tradition Senior Living, a premier senior living community in Texas. Prior to this role, Vanessa was a Director at Nordstrom Inc.  Vanessa has extensive experience in serving the customer through an interconnected multi-channel business model and spent 21 years supporting employees, customers and communities at Nordstrom.
