Imaan Siddiqi (she/her/hers) is a sophomore at East Carolina University and the recipient of a full scholarship as part of the EC Scholars Program. She is a Public Health major, double minoring in Psychology and Fashion Merchandising. She currently serves as President of the Muslim Student’s Association, Production Chair for the East Carolina spring fashion show, and a medical transporter for rural communities. Imaan began working with NAMI as a high school intern, and then as their youth ambassador for Wake County, N.C. She hopes that by being a part of NAMI Next Gen, she can have a hand in creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive approach to mental wellness in underrepresented groups.
