Joseph Gatto

Joseph Gatto is Second-Vice President of the NAMI Board of Directors and served as served as President of NAMI Connecticut. 

During his seven years of service to NAMI, Joe has worked to strengthen communications, finances, governance and develop best practices across the NAMI organization to better advance NAMI’s mission and strategic plans.  During the 2022-2023 Board year, Joe served on the Finance and Audit Committee and the Youth and Young Adults Mental Health Outreach workgroup.

He was also a 2018 Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University where he focused on supporting the mental health of young people.  During his fellowship, he studied behavioral neuroscience, psychopharmacology, and mood disorders.

In addition to his work with NAMI, Joe is the Managing Partner of Orient Point Partners, LLC, a strategy and financial advisory firm.  He is also Board Chairman of the Planetary Health Alliance at Harvard University, a Director of ecoAmerica, and an adjunct professor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Joe earned his BA in Public Affairs and Economics from Princeton University, and his JD/MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
