Adia Fadaei

Meet Adia Fadaei (she/her), a 21-year-old hailing from San Diego, CA, currently pursuing Psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University. Between her work with clinical, psychoeducational, and crisis-related mental health pursuits and her lived experience with mental health concerns, she is passionate about ending the stigma around mental health. At 14, she began as a crisis counselor for a peer-based mental health support line, Teen Line, in Los Angeles. Adia works with Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services as a 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Counselor, is a Suicide Prevention Center Speakers Bureau Member, serves as a National Student Advisory Committee Member with Active Minds, is a part of Selena Gomez's Rare Impact Fund as a Rare Impact Ambassador Alumni Committee Co-Chair, is a Public Policy Advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), and serves as an Advisory Board Member for Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation. Her core interests in mental health are legislation, mental health education, crisis intervention, and suicidology among youth communities. In her free time, she loves spending time at the ocean, reading, kickboxing, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and loved ones.
