Annette Gantt has worked in the nonprofit sector for the majority of her professional career. She grew up in the small town of Corning, NY, lived and worked most of her career in upstate, Rochester, NY, and has lived in Prince George’s County Maryland since 2008.

Annette’s career spans over 20 years, having helped leadership teams, board members, and individuals work more effectively, achieve their missions, and increase the return on investment to funders and stakeholders. A strategic thinker and problem-solver, Annette is known for her passion for the success of others, and genuine care for people.  She is a motivator and team builder who leads in the spirit of collaboration.  She understands what it takes to influence and develop teams in order for organizations to achieve excellence and success.Annette earned her Master of Science in Management from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.  She has one adult daughter.

I am most proud of contributions that result in delivering or developing the types of information and/or resources that enable National State Organizations and National Affiliates to thrive, grow and become sustainable local partners in order to affect NAMI’s mission, helping every individual and family in need.

 

Who Inspires You?

God inspires me. He strengthens my faith and gives me hope and belief in the healing of all my family and friends who are affected by mental illness. I am hopeful for my family and all others.
