2023 Research Award

Sabine Wilhelm, Ph.D., a leading researcher in obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, will receive the NAMI Scientific Research Award at the Inspiring Hope Through Research event on Wednesday evening, October 11 at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, D.C. A Professor at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Wilhelm is the Director of the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), where she is also Chief of Psychology and Director of the Center for Digital Mental Health in Psychiatry.

She joins an illustrious group of former award recipients whose tireless leadership and innovations are making a difference in the lives of those struggling to sustain a healthy and productive life.

Dr, Wilhelm is the Vice Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International OCD Foundation and serves on the Scientific Council for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and the Tourette Syndrome Association Behavioral Science Consortium. Dr, Wilhelm is the Vice Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International OCD Foundation and serves on the Scientific Council for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and the Tourette Syndrome Association Behavioral Science Consortium. An author and lecturer, she has also been the principal investigator or site principal investigator of seven NIMH-funded research grants and many privately funded clinical research studies.

The Scientific Research Award recognizes the work of researchers who move our understanding and treatment of mental illness forward. The award is supported by the Peter Corbin Kohn Endowment.
