Grace Wankelman (she/her) is a Northern Colorado native now based in Washington, D.C., where she works in gun violence prevention. Grace is deeply passionate about mental health advocacy, drawing on her personal experiences to drive her professional work. She’s committed to fostering open conversations and breaking down mental health stigma, particularly in rural communities.
Grace focuses on preventing suicide, reducing stigma, and addressing the intersections of inequity, violence, and mental health. As a member of NAMI Next Gen, she’s working toward inclusive, practical solutions that meet the diverse needs of individuals with mental health conditions and their families.
Outside of work, Grace enjoys SCUBA diving and visiting art museums.
