NAMI is encouraged that Congress passed the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, a bipartisan bill to address the nation’s opioid crisis.

Association for Community Affiliated Plans (ACAP), National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Mental Health America, American Psychiatric Association (APA), AIDS United, National Partnership for Women & Families, and Little Lobbyists today filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to invalidate the short-term, limited-duration insurance (STLDI) plan rule issued last month by three federal agencies.

In partnership with the Association for Community Affiliated Plans and other organizations, NAMI filed suit today to invalidate the federal short-term, limited duration (STLD) insurance plan rule issued last month by three federal agencies.

NAMI worked with Publicis Health’s 2018 summer intern class to create a national campaign to destigmatize mental illness. The 80 participating interns had four weeks to complete their projects, which finished with live pitches to executive leadership and key stakeholders from NAMI.

NAMI is pleased to announce its new incoming board of directors. Board members are elected for three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms.
