Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8. If you’re still trying to find a meaningful gift, NAMI has a few ideas about how to impress mom while also giving back to the mental health community.

Candle Warmers Etc. sells patented candle warmers, candles and related accessories. They have been a partner of NAMI since 2010, and founder and CEO Bart Kennington has been involved with NAMI even longer. Bart became involved with NAMI because he lost several people close to him to suicide. He decided that NAMI would be Candle Warmers Etc.’s main cause. He also became a member of the Board of Directors of NAMI Utah four years ago and NAMI Utah’s president last year.
Candle Warmers Etc. encourages employees to participate in the NAMI Walks in their area in support of the mental health movement. “Many of us at Candle Warmers Etc. have been affected by mental health. We have seen our friends and family members struggle with the realities of mental illness,” said Chris Barnes, Chief Marketing Officer. They support NAMI during Mental Health Month by giving 20% of all retail sales during May.

They have been NAMI’s national partner for the past year with their hope & grace initiative as the lead support of NAMI’s stigmafree campaign.
