Mayim BialikNAMI is pleased to announce the first day plenary speaker for NAMICon 2022, actor, author and mental health advocate Mayim Bialik.

Mayim Hoya Bialik is best known for her award-winning portrayal of Amy Farrah Fowler on CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” and as the current co-host of “Jeopardy!” She is also a champion for mental health awareness and advocacy. Bialik earned a B.S. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCLA where she studied obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and she’s authored multiple books, two of which reached #1 on the New York Times Best Sellers list.

  • An incredible value! Registration rates will remain low for 2022: Only $10 for students and peers, $15 for NAMI members and $25 for non-members.

  • A special panel event with Dr. Ken Duckworth, NAMI’s Chief Medical Officer, offering an exclusive preview of “You Are Not Alone: The NAMI Guide to Navigating Mental Health,” NAMI’s first book releasing this fall. The book includes real stories from individuals and families navigating their mental health journeys, as well as practical answers from experts on commonly asked questions. Join us for this engaging and inspiring discussion with Dr. Duckworth and special invited guests featured in the book.

  • Filmmaker Ken Burns joins us to celebrate NAMI’s collaboration with the Well Beings Youth Mental Health Project, created by WETA, the PBS flagship station in our nation's capital. NAMI CEO Daniel H. Gillison, Jr., NAMI Next Gen Youth Ambassadors, filmmakers Erik Ewers and Christopher Loren Ewers, individuals featured in the film, and special guests will join Burns to see and discuss excerpts from the new two-part, four-hour documentary series Ken Burns Presents “Hiding In Plain Sight: Youth Mental Illness,” A Film by Erik Ewers & Christopher Loren Ewers, premiering June 27 and 28 on PBS stations nationwide.

Your registration fee includes ALL virtual activities for June 14–16. The programming for Tuesday, June 14, will be dedicated to our NAMI State Organizations and NAMI Affiliates. General attendees are invited to begin their convention experience with our opening plenary on Wednesday, June 15, at 10 a.m. ET.

NAMI Alliance Day: Strengthening the Alliance

What is NAMI Alliance Day?

NAMI Alliance Day precedes the NAMI Convention and is designed specifically for NAMI State Organizations and NAMI Affiliates. Presented and developed by NAMI National’s Alliance Relations, Development and Field Governance (ARDFG) Department, this day is dedicated to supporting the great work taking place across the Alliance.

When is NAMI Alliance Day?

NAMI Alliance Day  is on Tuesday June 14th. Sessions from 10am to 3pm are open to all NAMI Alliance Day registrants. Advisory Council Business Meetings will take place 3pm to 5pm and are by invitation only. NAMI Alliance Day precedes the NAMI Convention (June 15th & 16th).
