College, Community, and Surviving Loss

When a close friend died by suicide, Richard Dixon struggled through the grief. Talking about the loss was challenging among his Black/African Ancestry friends and his fraternity brothers. To break the stigma and the silence, Richard created a series of mental health awareness events at his college and helped build a NAMI On Campus that supports the community so no one has to feel alone.
