NextGen Director NAMI Board of Directors
EmailDavy Yue is an ex officio (non-voting) NextGen member for the NAMI National Board of Directors and is member of NAMI Palm Beach County bringing sustainable engagement through the young adult perspective.
Davy has served NAMI Palm Beach County as a volunteer NAMIWalks Committee member in logistics/sponsorship, In Our Own Voice presenter, Young Adults Connections support group facilitator, and a member of the Education & Outreach Committee.
He has supported NAMI Florida’s conference planning committee and served as a helpline specialist for the NAMI National Helpline. In 2023, Davy helped advise NAMI National through NAMI Next Gen to support the recovery journeys of countless young adults across the nation – these efforts included spearheading various conference sessions, project initiatives, and informed resource creations.
Davy first engaged with NAMI programs when seeking support for his own recovery. Upon transforming the arc of his own wellness story and also developing his own resilience strategies, Davy now works to support others with stories of lived experiences just like himself.
Since November 2022, Davy spearheads his own independent program where he conducts monthly presentations at three local in-patient behavioral health facilities impacting 230+ patients across 35+ sessions. His program features a tailored culturally-reflective storytelling of his recovery story interweaved with context-relevant live alto-saxophone songs. He has also presented on applied creativity for mental wellness at several conferences including Active Minds, New Leaders Council, and as a keynote speaker at Tennessee Healthy Transitions Summit.
Davy looks forward to engaging in compelling long-term impact for young adults across biopsychosocial recovery, as well as creating a space for people living with more stigmatized mental health conditions to be understood, heard, and recognized.
Davy earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science, with focuses on Management and Computer Science, from Vanderbilt University.
