EmailJeremiah Rainville is a member of the NAMI Board of Directors, elected to fill the seat from the NAMI Peer Leadership Council.
As a member of NAMI Providence, Jeremiah is a Peer Program Manager for NAMI Rhode Island, State Trainer of Connection Facilitators and State Trainer of P2P Leaders, a Certified Peer Recover Specialist and Certified Community Health worker, a forensic peer support at Rhode Island’s State Hospital and volunteers at acute psychiatric hospitals. Previously, he has served as Chair of the Peer Leadership Council.
Jeremiah started his journey with NAMI Rhode Island by going to support groups at the age of 18 and began working at NAMI Rhode Island in 2011. With NAMI, he continues to be a strong advocate for his community, which has earned him the recognition of the NAMI Joyce Burland Inspiration Award, Eleanor Slater Hospital Award and the NAMI Ken Steele Award.
Jeremiah’s focus is on serious and persistent mental illness and chronic homelessness, bringing NAMI programs, values and vision to the most in need of support and education so they can become future advocates and pay it forward to others.
He previously volunteered at Luna and Oasis Wellness & Recovery Center to provide peer support, education, and advocacy.
