NAMI Family & Friends is a 4-hour seminar that informs and supports people who have loved ones with a mental health condition.

Please note: NAMI Family & Friends is currently in the pilot phase and is only availble in AK, CA, MT, NM, OR, TX and WA. The seminar will become available nationwide in mid-2018.

  • What questions are asked on the evaluation? Are the questions similar to what’s asked on other evaluations?

The online evaluation will have five Likert (rating) questions and one open-ended question. The five questions address the helpfulness of the materials, information, skill-building, effectiveness of the leaders and recommendation level – similar to questions on current program evaluations. There are a few demographic questions as well.

  • Will the evaluation ask if seminar participants would like to volunteer and/or want contact from NAMI, including getting our newsletter?

Yes, participants are asked if they would like to receive more information about NAMI and if they want to volunteer. NAMI State Organizations and NAMI Affiliates can access participants’ answers and contact them accordingly.
