Join us for a free live, virtual event, “Crisis Conversations: A Problem-Solving Convening” taking place Thursday, April 29 from 12–4:15 p.m. ET. This event will elevate the voices of people with lived experience to discuss the critical gaps and barriers in the current system of care.
The event is hosted by NAMI in partnership with the Treatment Advocacy Center and CAI. Created by people impacted by serious mental illness (SMI), for people impacted by SMI, our goals are to promote awareness of current opportunities for systemic reform to stakeholders, engage and empower advocates and inspire change.
Our keynote speakers and break-out sessions will explore and identify barriers to accessing appropriate mental health care for those living with SMI. Sessions will include advocate stories highlighting gaps in communities’ current responses and presentations on innovative solutions that address system gaps.
A follow-up advocate session is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, with limited registration space. Those that identity as “Peer Advocate” or “Family Advocate” on the registration page will receive more information about this opportunity.
