Arlington, Va.–July 12, 2017—Three new members and two incumbents were elected to the 16-member board of directors of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) at its recent national convention in Washington, D.C. The new members fill open seats on the board.
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans affected by mental illness.
Board members are elected annually at the convention; the full board then selects its officers for the following year.
Board members are elected for staggered three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms.

The full board chose incumbent officers to continue in 2017-2018:
Eleven first-term board members and three in their second terms were not up for election this year.
